Ideal DVD to iPad Converter is a commercial DVD ripper and video converter. It allows you to convert some video files and DVD movies into H.264 and MPEG-4 files, which will play quite nicely on the iPad and other Apple devices. Of course, most modern computers will play those files as well.
The application has a graphical user interface that resembles an iPad. When you first launch it, you will see a welcome screen that tells you how to add files. There are two buttons at the bottom of the screen, one of which lets you add DVD movies and files. The other takes you to the configuration window and lets you access other features. In my testing, I added both a DVD disk and an AVI file and chose one of the two available conversion profiles. You can either convert files to "iPad perfect quality - MPEG-4" or "iPad perfect quality - H.264". Then, I struggled a bit to find a button to start the conversion process, so I clicked randomly until I found that the button is at the bottom, right in the middle of the device. When I clicked the button, I got an error message saying that the ripping of my movie failed.
In short, I didn't have quite a wonderful experience with this app. Maybe your experience will be different. Right now, I can't recommend this app.
